Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor - Communications Disorders

The Arizona State University’s College of Health Solutions (CHS) Communication Disorders program is seeking a full-time, 12-month career track clinical faculty member at the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor with a specialty in adult populations. The nationally ranked program offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team focused on the highest clinical education and the translation of research into practice. This is a fixed-term appointment that is renewable annually.  Subsequent one-year appointments may be offered, under the same terms and conditions, at the discretion of the college and university. 

Responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in speech and hearing sciences on-line and/or in-person, providing a variety of diagnostic and rehabilitative services to patients, supervising SLP Masters students in our in-house clinic and off-site placements, providing service to the college and relevant degrees, and participating in clinic/program service activities in the development and/or expansion of services within the clinic and/or the Communication Disorders Master of Science program. Applicants must present evidence of teaching experience and a strong commitment to high quality teaching at the undergraduate/graduate levels.  Typical workloads for clinical faculty are consistent with 80% teaching, consisting of didactic classroom-based teaching and clinical supervision in the on-campus clinic, and 20% service.

This highly ranked program in speech-language pathology offers students a range of clinical and research opportunities as well as training that lead to an M.S. and/or Ph.D. degree. The Speech-Language Pathology Program is housed in a state-of-the-art facility on the main campus of ASU in Tempe Arizona.
