What You’ll Do:

Responsibilities:

• Achieve annual commercial goals of the US BBU portfolio
• Broad impact/access across identified accounts and improve US BBU position within these accounts
• Coach Area Business Managers and Strategic Account Executives (ABM/SAE) in all aspects of job performance and ensure training and development of ABM/SAEs in their region and will be responsible for all aspects of performance management within the region, retention of top talent and managing performance of low performers
• Participate in development and implementation of national commercial strategy and tactics and lead projects that impact the Region/Nation
• Plan and execute Regional/National Commercial Meetings to focus team’s execution and impact with customers
• Leads and functions as a role model, building a positive, cohesive culture across the Region/Nation. Identifies opportunities to enhance culture in day-to-day activities. Builds credible internal/external relationships that foster diverse thinking with a strategic focus.
• Must be able to meet all compliance expectations associated with the role
• Attend all compliance and other required training and maintain a learning and growth mindset.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• BS/BA Required, MBA Preferred, preferably in sciences, medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, biology.
• Minimum 5 years management or progressive business experience in pharmaceuticals / biotech industry, specialty distribution experience preferred.  Functional experience in other commercial areas preferred.
• Proven successful track record of consistent high performance / delivering strong results
• Launch experience in the ophthalmology and/or immunology biologic marketplace strongly preferred
• Biosimilars background and experience is preferrable.
• Buy & Bill reimbursement experience, demonstrating ability to drive successful goal attainment essential
• Significant travel required. Driving is an essential duty of the job; candidates must have a valid driver’s license to be considered
• Must Reside within the East Region which includes NC, VA, PA, MD, NY, New England areas.
• This role is posted in multiple cities across the region - note we are seeking one Director for this region.

The base compensation range for this role is $170,300 to $255,500. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, job related years of relevant experience, internal equity, and location of the job. Additionally, this role is eligible for participation in Biogen’s LTI grants and other incentive programs.
