Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Associate Industrial Engineer / Industrial Engineer to support our Industrial Engineering Operations Management (IEOM) organization. This candidate will join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Saint Augustine, FL. The position requires on-site support located in St Augustine, FL, and cannot be performed remotely due to the nature of the role.
The Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Team is an integral part of day-to-day operations and routinely works alongside many of the other organizations here in Saint Augustine. This is a team that comes together to learn, collaborate, and overcome challenges in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for applicants that enjoy working with and learning from their peers and are not afraid to jump in and make a difference!
Responsibilities will include:
- Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently
- Builds scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints
- Develops optimized scheduling tools and aligns SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraints
- Incorporates complex interdependencies within a system to account for the interaction of multiple cost centers, programs, equipment, and tools
- Communicates requirements planning and systems framework with IT, ERP, business analytics, and data science teams
- Works with developers to design an interactive user interface that will be effective at scheduling jobs across cost centers
- Guides digital transformation efforts to align with sector and enterprise strategies
- Leads and drives positive change using iterative and agile methodologies
- Creates new metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performance
- Developing infrastructure and planning for aircraft assembly line stand-up.

Basic Qualifications for Associate Industrial Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 0 years of related engineering experience.
- Experience in Microsoft Office excel, including macros, data mining, and pivot tables and/or data visualization software applications.
- Your ability to obtain and/or maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable amount of time, as determined by the company.
Basic Qualifications for Industrial Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 1 years of related engineering experience and/or data analysis experience; OR a Master’s degree and 0 years of related engineering experience or data analysis experience.
