Research Associate Bioscience Immunology, Early Respiratory and Immunology

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with diverse laboratory skills to join our growing Immunology Bioscience team within the Early Respiratory & Immunology (Early R&I) department. This is a lab-based position based in Waltham, Massachusetts. Accountabilities:
In this role, you will demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm for innovative scientific research leading to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics. You will contribute to characterizing novel immunological pathways in health and disease to aid target identification, validation, and drug development. You will develop new assays for characterization of immune cells and collaborate with highly accomplished scientists. Mentorship and support will be provided to help you gain relevant knowledge and skill sets and to promote your career development.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in biology, immunology or a relevant discipline with 0+ years of industry experience.
- Trained in aseptic cell culture technique.
- Hands-on experience with basic immunological assays is strongly preferred (e.g. multi-color flow cytometry, primary cell culture, functional cell based assays, ELISA, Western blot, MSD, Luminex).
- Experience with molecular biology is a plus (e.g lentiviral or retroviral transduction, stable cell line generation, qPCR…).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team to conduct a high-level research project is essential.
- The ideal candidate is highly organized and self-motivated, with a drive to learn.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to critically analyze datasets are essential.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Masters degree in biology, immunology or a relevant discipline with 0+ years of industry experience.
