We are seeking a Data Loss Prevention Specialist to interface with business users, product owners, and IT development to proactively create and maintain data security solutions for the enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage Microsoft Purview governance capability platform, data assets, and integrations with data sources. Formulate, suggest, and implement new ideas/features/delivery methods for meta-data infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain custom object definitions to enhance the metadata capabilities of Purview.
- Formulate and mature data classification to comply with corporate policy, procedure, and standards.
- Embed in group engagement and assist with the creation of data quality rules and metrics.
- Establish and mature rulesets and behaviors in MS Purview and enterprise environment to optimize data handling security balanced with process productivity.
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of MS Purview.
- Design and code custom integrations for Purview (including APIs where possible).
- Collaborate on architecture and infrastructure requirements for the enterprise implementation of MS Purview.
- Consult on and design PowerBI dashboards in support of metrics as able to advise on and participate in enterprise data management maturity assessment.
- Ensure confidentiality of company information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a data-centric field: Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Processing, or science; bachelor’s preferred.
- 5+ years' experience developing and implementing Data Governance policies and processes is required.
- 5+ years Governance expertise in Cloud and On-premises Microsoft environment is required.
- Advanced experience deploying Data Loss Prevention (DLP) measures within Microsoft Purview starting from the ground up is required.
- Define rules for identifying sensitive data based on classification labels, patterns (e.g., credit card numbers, social security numbers), and keywords.
- Ability to define data classifications based on sensitivity levels and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure consistent classification and protection across different Microsoft services and applications.
- Ability to monitor data usage and access patterns to identify potential security risks or compliance violations.
- Utilize Purview's reporting and analytics capabilities to generate insights into data governance and compliance posture.
- Establish a process for continuous evaluation and improvement of DLP policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about emerging threats and regulatory changes to adapt DLP strategies accordingly.
- Identify stakeholders and establish communication channels for collaboration throughout the implementation process.
- Advanced knowledge of collaboration tools for conducting discovery with remote teams.
- Strong business writing skills for policy, standards, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of IT and networking concepts.
- Experience with business process definition, documentation, and improvement.

Shift is full-time Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST. Must be flexible to work outside of normal business hours as required.
Additional Information
- This position will require travel up to 50% within the Green Bay and Fox Valley, WI areas; remainder of work will be remote.
