Senior Compensation Manager
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Compensation, the Senior Compensation Manager will be responsible for executing and managing Fastly’s compensation programs. This includes performing market research to ensure that Fastly’s compensation practices are competitive and aligned with industry standards, managing salary structures and incentive plans, adherence to legal requirements, and supporting our internal leaders and business partners.
What You'll Do
- Performs staff support activities to develop, implement and administer global compensation policies and programs. Manages pay review cycles and equity programs
- Participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine a company's competitive position
- Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines, policies and practices
- Recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems
- Reviews requests for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment
- Formulates recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures
- Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action
- May prepare special studies and recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation or equity compensation
Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during core business hours.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years of related work experience in compensation analysis
- Substantial command of compensation fundamentals (e.g., job matching and market pricing, equity mechanics, cyclical programs, etc.)
- Prior experience working with large amounts of data, utilizing strong analytical skills to interpret compensation trends and build intelligence through reporting, with high attention to data validity
- Consistent track record of creating meaningful, understandable models, reports, and trainings
- Proven ability to translate quantitative insights to non-quantitative audiences to effectively develop and present logical, convincing compensation observations in support of your perspective and company initiatives to stakeholders
- Knowledge of relational databases and HRIS tools
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills in communicating and interpreting compensation philosophy, program design, and recommendations effectively to all levels of the organization
- A proven ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships and alliances with key stakeholders – influencing and empowering others through strong partnerships
- Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced technology environment
- Highly analytical with great attention to detail and ability to balance competing priorities and effectively multitask
- Solution-oriented and focused self-starter that can drive projects from design to implementation
- Experience with Workday Core and Advanced Compensation

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.
This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $132,060 to $194,210.
Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
