Telecommuting: Local telecommuting is permitted. Employee must work from the employer headquarters in Boston, MA as needed.

Responsibilities:

1) Architect and scale distributed systems, with a preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP);

2) Lead backend development using Python;

3) Build and manage machine learning systems, including model lifecycles and infrastructure;

4) Design robust data pipelines and event-driven workflows;

5) Develop and integrate REST APIs;

6) Implement DevOps practices and manage infrastructure with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation;

7) Leverage Docker and Kubernetes;

8) Partner with engineering, data science, and product teams to drive impactful solutions; and

9) Stay updated with emerging technologies and integrate them into projects for sustained innovation.

Local telecommuting is permitted. Employee must work from the employer headquarters in Boston, MA as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Employer requires a master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field and four (4) years of work experience as a full-stack software engineer or related occupation. In addition, the employer requires the following:

1) Demonstrated ability designing distributed systems and cloud-native architectures gained through four (4) years of work experience;

2) Demonstrated ability building robust backend systems for scalability and efficiency gained through four (4) years of work experience;

3) Demonstrated ability managing machine learning pipelines and infrastructure gained through four (4) years of work experience;

4) Demonstrated ability creating and organizing containerized environments gained through four (4) years of work experience;

5) Demonstrated ability developing scalable data systems gained through four (4) years of work experience;

6) Demonstrated ability developing REST APIs gained through four (4) years of work experience;

7) Demonstrated knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) gained through four (4) years of work experience; and

8) Demonstrated ability guiding teams, mentoring engineers, and making high-level architectural decisions gained through four (4) years of work experience.

All years of experience gained concurrently.

In the alternative, the employer will accept a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field and six (6) years of progressively more responsible work experience as a full-stack software engineer or related occupation. In addition, the employer requires the following:

1) Demonstrated ability designing distributed systems and cloud-native architectures gained through six (6) years of work experience;

2) Demonstrated ability building robust backend systems for scalability and efficiency gained through six (6) years of work experience;

3) Demonstrated ability managing machine learning pipelines and infrastructure gained through six (6) years of work experience;

4) Demonstrated ability creating and organizing containerized environments gained through six (6) years of work experience;
