Job Description/ Responsibilities

• Review customer requests for quotation (RFQ), including technical and commercial specifications. Identify cost effective best suited engineered product for the application.
• Read, analyze and interpret customer/project supplied schematics.
• Size and select appropriate Rotork actuators, and communicate this information to customers using established format.
• Produce accurate and detailed proposal to meet customer requested bid date. Clarify any deviations, assumptions or exceptions to customer project specifications and state recommendations.
• Interface with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Contracts and Management) to review projects and develop a plan of action prior to quotation and after receipt of order.
• Ensure customers’ requirements are completely and adequately transferred to Contracts.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Educational Requirements

• Technical education, preferably an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Other fields or equivalent experience will also be considered.
• 1-2 years’ experience in application engineering or inside sales is desired.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Able to quickly learn & utilize business software and internal programs.
• Ability to interact with customers on routine basis and must demonstrate a high level of Customer Service.
• Motivated, self-starter and able to work independently.
• Enthusiastic, goal oriented and eager to meet or exceed departmental objectives and project deadlines.
• Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels (verbal, written and presentation skills).
• Must be thorough, accurate and organized.
• Must be able to prioritize work load and juggle multiple tasks in high pace environment.
• Must be confident and resourceful in the face of challenges.
