Senior Marketing Automation Engineer (f/m/x)

<h1>The Role</h1> <p>We are looking for a hands-on Senior Partnerships Project manager  to design, implement, and manage scalable API integrations that connect HelloFresh with external partner ecosystems including telecoms, financial providers, loyalty programs, and health/wellness platforms.</p> <p>This role combines technical execution (building and deploying APIs, data workflows, and automation) with project ownership (defining requirements, managing partners, ensuring delivery).</p> <p><br/>You will own integrations from design to production, delivering end-to-end partner connectivity that enables subscription bundling, loyalty rewards, account linking, and nutrition data exchange, all while maintaining reliability, compliance, and a seamless customer experience.</p> <h1>What you’ll do:</h1> <h4><strong>End-to-End integration delivery</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Own the full lifecycle of new partner integrations - from scoping and solution design to implementation, testing, and go-live.</li> <li>Develop, deploy, and maintain REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and automation scripts to connect HelloFresh with partner platforms.</li> <li>Manage authentication flows using OAuth2 / OpenID Connect for secure data exchange.</li> <li>Build and operate account linking, billing, and lifecycle management APIs for bundled subscriptions and loyalty programs.</li> <li>Configure and manage data pipelines and monitoring for recurring syncs and reporting.<br/><br/></li> </ul> <h4><strong>Solution architecture &amp; technical execution</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Design integration architectures aligned with HelloFresh’s core systems (account, billing, order, and loyalty domains).</li> <li>Implement flexible integration logic for revenue share, loyalty attribution, or benefit application.</li> <li>Build and maintain <strong>API documentation</strong>, <strong>SDKs</strong>, and <strong>partner developer guides</strong>.</li> <li>Establish standardized patterns and templates for scalable partner onboarding.</li> <li>Troubleshoot issues, manage error handling, and ensure SLA adherence.<br/><br/></li> </ul> <h4><strong>Partner-facing technical ownership</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Act as the <strong>primary technical contact</strong> for partner engineering teams (e.g., telcos, wellness apps, airline loyalty programs).</li> <li>Translate partner requirements into concrete API specifications and implementation plans.</li> <li>Support pilot integrations, ensure smooth onboarding, and provide post-launch maintenance.<br/><br/></li> </ul> <h4><strong>Project leadership &amp; delivery</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Plan, track, and deliver multiple integration projects concurrently.</li> <li>Define milestones, monitor progress, and report outcomes to Product and Growth stakeholders.</li> <li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Finance teams to align on business logic and compliance needs.</li> <li>Ensure integrations are delivered on time, within scope, and at production-level reliability.<br/><br/></li> </ul> <h4><strong> Quality, security, and monitoring</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Implement robust logging, auditing, and alerting for partner integrations.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with HelloFresh’s security and privacy standards (GDPR, PII handling).</li> <li>Optimize performance and reliability through automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.</li> <li>Contribute to internal best practices for API governance and version control.</li> </ul> <h2> </h2> <h1>What you’ll bring:</h1> <p><strong>Required technical skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong experience with <strong>RESTful and GraphQL API development</strong> (Node.js, Python, or Go preferred).</li> <li>Solid understanding of <strong>OAuth2 / OpenID Connect</strong>, webhooks, and secure token exchange.</li> <li>Experience with <strong>API design, testing (Postman/Swagger), and documentation</strong>.</li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>serverless/cloud environments</strong> (AWS Lambda, ECS, or GCP Functions).</li> <li>Working knowledge of <strong>SQL/NoSQL databases</strong> and <strong>data transformation</strong> (JSON, CSV, Databricks workbooks ).</li> <li>Proven ability to set up <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong>, monitoring, and error logging (Sentry, ELK).<br/><br/></li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Background in <strong>B2B SaaS integrations</strong>, <strong>subscription commerce</strong>, or <strong>loyalty/fintech APIs</strong>.</li> <li>Experience managing <strong>partner integrations</strong> across multiple regions.</li> <li>Understanding of <strong>billing systems</strong>, <strong>revenue-share models</strong>, or <strong>points-based loyalty frameworks</strong>.</li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>Contentful</strong>, <strong>Snowflake</strong>, N8N, Zapier or <strong>internal data APIs</strong> a plus.<br/><br/></li> </ul> <p><strong>Soft skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong ownership mindset - able to independently manage technical projects end-t
