Job Description

Please note: This is an unpaid internship. Candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation for this internship. Candidates selected to move forward in the interview process will need to submit proof of eligibility to receive academic credit for their time interning with Wasserman, and will be disqualified if they are unable to do

Duties:

  • Support planning and execution of client events, including on-site coverage and social media assets.
  • Develop and implement social media strategy for Wasserman accounts—primarily basketball and client-specific platforms.
  • Create eye-catching graphics and assist with copywriting using Canva, Photoshop, and other design tools.
  • Manage day-to-day social content and use Sprout Social to schedule, publish, and report across all platforms.
  • Support social strategy with analytics, social listening, and engagement reporting.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, PR, Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or similar.
  • Strong writing and graphic editing capabilities
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or Figma.
  • Portfolio preferred with examples of social media graphics or design work.
  • Familiarity with social media best practices, platform trends, and sports/entertainment genres.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management with ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to receive college credit for internship opportunity.
