Pay Range: $22.70/hr. + $4.57/hr. (Health & Wellness Benefit)

SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command’s Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks and Pohakuloa Training Area, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii’s (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.
We are currently hiring a Travel Clerk III at our Schofield Barracks, HI location to work the Front Desk, answer phones/faxes/emails, assist customers, schedule appointments, perform personal property shipment/storage services, and inform customers of entitlements & responsibilities IAW all applicable Regulations (Army Regulations, Defense Travel Regulations, Joint Travel Regulations and US Army Garrison and contract requirements). This position works under the general guidance and supervision of the Personal Property Branch Operations (PPPO) Supervisor.
Essential job duties include (but may not be limited to):
- Provide services such as entitlement counseling, validation, and preparation of all required forms for any combination of the following through automated systems: Unaccompanied Baggage (UB), Household Goods (HHG), Storage (Temporary, Non-Temp, Special), Local Moves, Personally Procured Moves, authorization for Privately Owned Vehicles (POV).
- Prepare various forms to complete job tasks.
- Perform services for members assigned to outer islands within the state of Hawaii or Pacific AOR via phone, fax and/or scan and email.
- TCIII must specialize in at least one (or more) of the following areas of expertise: 1. Admin Specialist; 2. Groups/Deployment Specialist: 3. PPM Specialist: 4. Collections Specialist.
- Perform internal QC procedures ensuring regulations are researched, reviewed & adhered to by counselors, making notes/corrections for staff training and error logs.
- Eventually cross-trained in all TCIII Specialties and trained as a back-up for the Lead. ?
- Other duties as deemed necessary.
Work Conditions:
- Required to perform housekeeping of work areas.
- Expected to work overtime when required.
- Work hours and work location may, with proper notification, be adjusted to include shift work to meet contract requirements.
- May be assigned to support contract support requirements in job-related area cross trainings and could be included in tasks involving environmental, safety and security requirements.
- Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Duties are typically performed in an office environment.
- Will be required to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, lift, carry items and walk periodically throughout the workday.
Requirements
Education/Experience/Skills
- High School diploma/GED.
- At least four (4) years of related work experience.
- Proficiency with computer applications to include MS Office suite.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with people.
- Ability to multi-task and be detailed oriented in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to research and explain regulations, policies and procedures.
- Relocation assistance is not provided and candidates must reside within commuting distance or indicate a willingness to relocate at their own expense.
