Position Overview:
We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Digital Designer to join our in-house agency team. Your main focus will be designing visually stunning and highly engaging HTML5 banner ads that follow brand guidelines, align with messaging, and ensure everything’s accessible for all. You’ll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge, high-visibility projects and leave your creative footprint on some seriously exciting work.
What You'll Do:
- Digital Display Ad Design: Design visually appealing HTML5 banner ads for third-party sites. Create dynamic animations using Google Web Designer (GWD) or similar tools, focusing on user engagement and smooth transitions.
- Animation Design & Execution: Craft keyframe animations, optimizing for performance and load times. Apply easing functions for smooth motion and fine-tune animations for engaging user experiences.
- ADA Compliance & Accessibility: Ensure all assets meet WCAG standards and are fully ADA-compliant. Implement alt text and ARIA roles, and test for accessibility to make your designs inclusive for all users.
- Leveraging Design Systems: Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain design systems in Figma, ensuring designs are reusable and consistent across campaigns.
- Rapid Prototyping & Ideation: Prototype user experiences quickly using component libraries and tools like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Contribute to brainstorming sessions and iterate on ideas based on feedback.
- Collaboration & Client Advocacy: Work with cross-functional teams to align designs with client goals, ensuring all deliverables are on-brand and accessible. Present your designs during internal and client reviews, explaining choices based on research and best practices.
- Creative Leadership: Lead the creative process from concept to execution. Ensure all digital assets meet client expectations and maintain brand consistency across campaigns.
- Front-End Integration & CMS Optimization: Integrate HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to fine-tune assets, ensuring functionality and optimization across platforms. Ensure assets are ready for CMS integration using tools like Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and optimize them for smooth deployment and performance.
- Performance Optimization: Implement strategies to ensure ads and animations are optimized for performance, including reducing file sizes and minimizing complex visual effects that can hinder load times. Test ads across different platforms and devices to ensure fast performance without compromising visual quality.
What We're Looking For:
- Portfolio Requirement: A rich online portfolio website (listed on your resume) showcasing a diverse range of digital work, including web design, display ads, motion graphics, and more.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a UX or Digital Designer. Agency experience is required — you know how to collaborate in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- Education: A BA or higher in Design or a related field is required.
- Technical Skills: You’re experienced with Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator) and Figma/FigJam. You’ve got solid experience designing and animating HTML5 digital banner ads with Google Web Designer (or similar tools).
- Accessibility Know-How: You’ve got a solid understanding of ADA compliance and WCAG standards. You’ll ensure your designs are accessible and inclusive to all users.
- Front-End Integration: Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for designing and integrating digital assets, and familiarity
