At Credit Genie, we’re looking for a User Researcher with strong mixed-methods expertise to drive impactful insights across our product portfolio. You’ll independently scope, execute, and communicate research that informs strategy and improves user experience, partnering closely with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering.

What you'll do

Plan and lead research

  • Own end-to-end studies from planning to insight activation across discovery, definition, and delivery.

  • Select the right methods for the question, blending qualitative and quantitative approaches.

  • Build lean yet rigorous study designs, balancing speed, depth, and business impact.

Own research topics end-to-end

  • Take high-priority research topics from brief to actionable insights with minimal guidance.

  • Independently scope questions, hypotheses, success criteria, timelines, and resourcing.

  • Recruit the right participants, craft screeners, and manage logistics, incentives, and consent.

  • Conduct studies, synthesize across qual and quant signals, and land clear recommendations that de-risk product decisions.

  • Create durable artifacts for reuse: frameworks, opportunity maps, journey maps, and research readouts.

Partner closely with Design

  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with designers to explore solution directions grounded in user needs.

  • Inform design through early discovery research and iterative concept evaluation.

  • Run design validation: task-based usability, benchmark studies, and unmoderated tests to assess comprehension, usability, and desirability.

  • Translate findings into design implications, acceptance criteria, and prioritized fixes.

  • Establish lightweight feedback loops to accelerate build–measure–learn cycles.

Mixed-methods execution

  • Qualitative: generative interviews, contextual inquiry, diary studies, concept testing, moderated and unmoderated usability.

  • Quantitative: survey design and analysis, opportunity sizing, benchmark/usability metrics, basic experiment readouts in partnership with Data.

  • Triangulate insights from product analytics, behavioral data, and market signals to strengthen recommendations.

Drive decisions and influence

  • Turn findings into clear problem statements, opportunity areas, and prioritized recommendations.

  • Create concise, compelling deliverables that land with executives and cross-functional partners.

  • Facilitate workshops to align teams on user needs, JTBD, and solution direction.

Raise the bar for research quality

  • Maintain research ops hygiene: recruiting plans, screeners, consent, incentives, repository hygiene.

  • Champion inclusive research practices and accessibility.

  • Contribute to research playbooks, templates, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of applied UX/User Research experience in product teams, shipping insights that informed roadmap or design decisions.

  • Demonstrated mixed-methods fluency: able to scope and run both qual and quant studies and synthesize across data sources.

  • Strength in study design, sampling, and bias mitigation; comfortable with descriptive statistics and survey analysis.

  • Proficiency with tools such as UserTesting/Lookback, Qualtrics/Typeform, Dovetail/Airtable, Figma, Amplitude/GA or similar.

  • Excellent storytelling and stakeholder management skills. Able to influence without authority.

  • Strong documentation, organization, and ethical research practices.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HCI, Psychology, Social Scie
