Your Role

​​The Sr. Actuarial Analyst will support the development of monthly financial forecasts for Provider Organization (PO) partners in ACO REACH, MSSP, and Medicare Advantage. This role will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize processes and value clinical models and drive insights through data analysis and modeling. Primary Functions of the Sr. Actuarial Analyst Include:

  • ​Support the development of monthly financial forecasts for all Provider Organization (PO) partners in at least one major Line-of-Business (ACO REACH, MSSP, Medicare Advantage).
  • ​Assist the actuarial, clinical, finance and strategy teams with data analysis and modeling.
  • Plan and execute projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion of analyses and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant actuarial standards, regulatory requirements, and internal guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively in a highly matrixed environment.
  • ​Design actuarial processes to optimize organizational efficiency and to value clinical models.
  • ​Assist in designing and building tools to help in trend projections, forecasting, and value-based care modeling.
  • ​Create presentations in PowerPoint using advanced skill sets.​
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

 

How You Qualify

  • ​​​​Bachelor’s or Advanced (e.g., MBA, MS) degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field required
  • ​Progress toward or attainment of relevant actuarial certification (e.g., ASA, FSA) and a member in good standing with the American Academy of Actuaries required, if applicable
  • ​2+ years of experience in actuarial roles
  • Experience in actuarial modeling, pricing, reserving, and risk management within healthcare
  • Relevant experience with ​Medicare Advantage bid preparation is preferred
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills using Excel
  • ​Strong data analysis skills using SQL and/or SAS
  • ​Comfort with working independently, staying focused and completing assigned work in an environment that is unstructured at times
  • ​Demonstrate genuine curiosity on the job when performing data analysis
  • ​Excellent prioritization and communication skills, you must be bold enough to speak up and ask for assistance when needed​

 

The base pay range for this role is $94,300.00 - $108,400.00. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
