Senior Mission Operations Specialist

Hubble Network was founded with the intention of delivering on the promise of what Internet-of-Things (IoT) was supposed to be. We're building a global Bluetooth® network dedicated to machine-to-machine connectivity. We differentiate ourselves as the first modem-less and gateway-less, direct-to-satellite network from off-the-shelf Bluetooth® Low Energy chips. Hubble is ideal for applications in logistics, AgTech, and maritime where economies of scale for volume consumer and enterprise asset tracking is a priority. Our goal is to be the first billion-endpoint-connected network in the world.

As Senior Mission Operations Specialist, you will own day-to-day constellation and payload operations while driving strategic integration and roadmap execution for our Constellation Management Platform (CMP). This role blends hands-on operational responsibility with program-level leadership, coordinating across Engineering, Program Management, and external vendors to ensure mission readiness, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of our space systems.

You will operate Hubble satellites via vendor APIs, coordinate operational configurations, schedule tasking windows, triage anomalies, and maintain high service availability. In parallel, you will lead vendor/API integration efforts, define CMP feature requirements, generate user stories, and partner with engineering to deliver operational tooling and dashboards.

This is a business-hours role with occasional after-hours response for critical anomalies. Over time, you will play a key role in scaling Mission Operations into a multi-person team or transitioning into broader program leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Mission Operations

• Execute daily constellation and payload operations, including tasking, configuration updates, and real-time issue triage.
• Maintain two-person integrity for command approvals and uploads.
• Monitor system health and performance, interpreting telemetry and escalating anomalies.
• Manage operational timelines to balance internal testing and customer-facing activities.
• Maintain operational runbooks, SOPs, and decision support materials.

Vendor & API Coordination

• Serve as Hubble’s operational point of contact with all current and future spacecraft vendors.
• Document and track API requirements, feature requests, and integration timelines.
• Coordinate with engineering to implement SpaceOps APIs and deliver operational dashboards.
• Lead discussions on operational data formats, ICDs, and vendor roadmap alignment.

Constellation Planning & CMP Roadmap

• Partner with Program Management and Engineering to define and prioritize CMP features.
• Generate user stories and acceptance criteria for operational tooling.
• Drive the long-term constellation optimization plan, ensuring alignment with commercial and technical goals.
• Track and report constellation-level performance metrics to leadership.
