About the role:
The Cardiology Customer Experience team at Boston Scientific is seeking a passionate, self-motivated, influential, engaged omnichannel commercial leader and team player with a proven history of success sourcing and translating customer insights (physicians, patients [consumers], economic customers) into actionable strategic omnichannel plans, content strategies and programs that encourage product adoption and utilization within our core customer base.
In the role of Group Manager Customer Activation, you and your team will be responsible for collaborative development of data-centric program strategies and measurement plans that drive business impact. You will be tasked with tackling both complex short-term business challenges and inspiring investment in long-term growth initiatives, leveraging your demonstrated ability to adapt to and lead others through changing business conditions/plans while continuing to be proactive and drive projects to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead team in sourcing and developing infrastructure for gathering customer-insights to continually deepen understanding of mindset/behavior of physicians, patients and payers and key barriers to adoption
- Effectively incorporate insights into campaign and omnichannel program development
- Drive customer-centric and data-driven omnichannel innovation
- Collaborate on annual and long range global omnichannel road mapping
- Collaborate with Cardiology Customer Experience (CCx) and Business Unit Leadership to set direction to achieve overall organization objectives
- Align strategies with organizational objectives and revenue goals
- Ensure high-impact prioritization of programs and resources
- Oversee campaign execution, workflow, , budget management, optimization and reporting, leading with a continuous improvement mindset
- Develop strategic branding approach and maintain Boston Scientific brand consistency across all program channels
- Lead team in identification of tangible metrics to evaluate program impact and reassess objectives and outcomes, leaning into influencing building of new data-connections to enable ROI analysis
- Foster a test-learn-iterate culture within the team
- Optimize systems and processes for efficiency from planning to execution
- Guide and develop direct reports, driving best practices and a diverse, inclusive workplace
- Oversee complex cross-business projects and empower team to build competencies in functional areas of expertise to work independently
- Recruit top talent to the organization and develop a results-oriented team
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Champion thought leadership by sharing knowledge and best practices
- Communicate proactively with management and stakeholders for alignment and expectations
- Ensure global understanding, consultation and content sharing, as needed
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English or another relevant field
- Minimum of 7 years of marketing strategy and campaign management experience within the medical device, healthcare, biotech or pharma industries
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing teams, demonstrating the ability to create impact and drive change across stakeholders, teams and business results, with a minimum of 3 direct reports
- Marketing or agency / consulting experience of increasing responsibility
- Solid understanding of brand management and principles
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, influence and data-driven storytelling skills
- Strong collaborative, leadership, analytical, quantitative, financial modeling, and strategic thinking skills, at all levels to achieve critical business results
- Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and negotiate with a “team-first" leadership philosophy
- Highly motivated with an action-oriented mindset
