Your Responsibilities
As an Automation Engineer for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will:
- Execute plans related to development and integration of automation technologies on vehicles.
- Identify, define, and document technology requirements for future product development programs
- Work across engineering disciplines and teams including vehicle design, software, obstacle intelligence, and PV&V test groups.

What Skills You Need
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A proven ability to work with teams and apply problem solving techniques
- Experience balancing multiple tasks
- 1 or more years of cumulative product design experience
What Makes You Standout
- Knowledge of machine control systems, automation methods, and/or robotics
- Knowledge of lidar, radar, or vision systems.
- Understanding of off-road earthmoving equipment, their applications, and working environment.
- Effective organizational and communication skills to collaborate activities with supply management, manufacturing, quality, PV&V, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated project management and leadership skills
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
