Child Life Specialist at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is a per diem part time working during weekdays and weekends on a variable shift.
The Child Life Specialists empower children for life's challenges while providing high quality family-centered care as a part of a strong multidisciplinary team. The Child Life Specialist provides psychosocial and developmental based assessment and support to both patients and their families. Plans and provides emotionally and developmentally appropriate care that promotes effective coping with health care and continued cognitive and emotional growth. Enhances the quality of patient care through participation, documentation and communication with other members of the health care team. Serves as a resource and advocate on child development issues.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Child Life or closely related field.
- upon hire: National Certified Child Life Specialist - Association of Child Life Professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year Work experience as a certified Child Life Specialist.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
