Sr. IT Project/Vendor Manager (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Sr. IT Project/Vendor Manager to join our team and ensure the successful completion of medium to large-sized projects related to internal information systems. With your expertise, you will be the voice of the project, working under limited supervision to plan, schedule, and deliver projects on time and within budget. This role is remote and can be based in Lisbon, Porto, or Barcelona.</p><p></p><p><b>What We Are Looking For</b></p><p>We believe IT projects are much more successful when managed by a dedicated IT Project Manager. Currently, we do not have enough IT PMs to support all approved projects. To support our business effectively, we need to expand our team. We are looking for someone who:</p><ul><li>Holds a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.</li><li>Has 5 years of demonstrated experience successfully managing medium to large IT projects.</li><li>Possesses 5 years of experience managing project finances, including tracking internal labor costs, hardware costs, software license costs, and external partner consulting costs.</li><li>Demonstrates experience in creating and managing detailed project plans, including project phases, milestones, dependencies, and resource allocations.</li><li>Has experience managing project scope using a formal change management process.</li><li>Is PMI certified (PMP) or has equivalent certification.</li><li>Has experience managing eCommerce or ERP projects (desired).</li><li>Is proficient in MS Project, MPP tools, JIRA, SharePoint, MS PowerPoint, and Visio.</li><li>Has a solid understanding of project and portfolio management, including knowledge of various project methodologies (agile, waterfall).</li><li>Exhibits excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills to deliver project information to stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Shows professionalism in communication, appearance, attention to detail, and accountability.</li><li>Is a self-starter with excellent time management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage and prioritize concurrent work assignments.</li><li>Has leadership skills to manage associates and other parties in a matrix environment.</li><li>Possesses excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships and deal with conflicts professionally and objectively.</li><li>Can learn new tools and processes quickly and effectively.</li><li>Understands key accounting concepts (capitalization vs. expense) and can effectively manage vendor, contractor, and business partner relationships during the project duration.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>How You Will Thrive and Make an Impact</b></p><p>As a Sr. IT Project/Vendor Manager, you will:</p><ul><li>Plan, schedule, and ensure timely completion of medium to large-sized projects related to internal information systems.</li><li>Use the company's project management tool to enter and track project budgets, reserve and allocate technical resources, and coordinate project activities across functional areas within the organization.</li><li>Assign and monitor the work of technical personnel across all phases of the project, including development, testing, and initial support upon implementation.</li><li>Ensure that project steps are in alignment with business objectives, delivered on time and within budget.</li><li>Monitor for any risks or issues that appear during the project and work with the project team to implement mitigation plans to resolve them.</li><li>Provide project status updates to key stakeholders, including company executive leadership.</li><li>Facilitate and document RACI and change control processes.</li><li>Set up collaboration tools like Jira for the project team.</li><li>Schedule, prepare material, and facilitate tactical and leadership meetings to report status and progress.</li><li>Facilitate, document, and get sign-off for deployment, communication, training, and business readiness plans.</li><li>Track that testing plans and preparation are documented and executed.</li><li>Manage commercial relationships with hardware and software suppliers.</li><li>Establish contract management procedures and workflow processes, incorporating best practices.</li><li>Provide general guidance to managers regarding contractual terms and conditions and the approved process for the procurement of technology and services.</li><li>Respond to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions, resolve complex issues related to vendor payments, and ensure the timely renewal of maintenance agreements and reconciliation of supplier invoices.</li><li>Use project management best practices and company standards and tools to successfully deliver assigned projects.</li></ul><p></p><p>Join us and be a part of a team that values your expertise and supports your growth.
