What you will do:
We are looking for a ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT, APPLICATIONS & STRATEGY who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the position will look like.
• Develop and maintain application roadmaps that align with business goals and evolving technological trends.
• Partner with business stakeholders to ensure applications support strategic initiatives and operational needs across health plan operations, member and provider engagement, and enterprise functions.
• Utilize a strong understanding of SaaS and internally developed applications, including those supporting health plan administration (such as claims, eligibility, and care management), digital engagement (including portals, mobile apps, and communication platforms), and enterprise operations (such as HR, finance, and analytics)—to inform and guide strategic decisions at the portfolio level.
• Evaluate and rationalize the application portfolio to eliminate redundancy, improve efficiency, and enhance interoperability.
• Identify the need and plan efforts to modernize legacy systems and integrate new technologies that support clinical and administrative workflows.
• Responsible for documenting and standardizing the technology stack and workflows for change management and impact analysis/scenario modeling.
• Analyze application spend and usage to ensure investments deliver measurable business value.
• Work in close partnership with the Senior Manager of IT Enterprise Data, the Data Architect, Application Managers, and Product Owners, fostering dynamic collaboration to synchronize application and data strategies. Through ongoing dialogue, joint planning sessions, and shared accountability, ensure that the application ecosystem not only integrates seamlessly with data architecture but also advances organizational goals by leveraging insights, enhancing interoperability, and supporting data-driven decision making across all domains.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and partner with the procurement and vendor management teams to negotiate with vendors to maximize value.
• Implement clear metrics and reporting frameworks to track ROI and performance across all application domains, highlighting cost savings, productivity improvements, and user satisfaction. Regularly analyze these results to guide future investments and demonstrate tangible business value.
• Establish governance frameworks, architecture standards, and best practices in collaboration with security, data, and compliance teams, supporting adherence to regulatory and data governance requirements such as HIPAA and HITECH
• Act as a liaison between IT and business units, translating business needs into technology strategies.
• Provide thought leadership and mentorship to technical teams and stakeholders.
• Leads the evaluation and integration of emerging AI technologies to ensure responsible, strategic adoption that enhances business and IT capabilities.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of how applications, data flows, and business processes interact. Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify needs, map enabling technologies, and develop strategic technology roadmaps that align with organizational goals.

What you will bring:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related discipline. An equival
