In this role, you’ll foster a culture of patient-focused care, ensuring that strong relationships drive healing and positive outcomes. You’ll collaborate across the agency to coordinate services, oversee accurate documentation, and champion continuous improvement in patient experience, safety and workflow. Responsibilities include supervising and training Medical Assistants, building team culture through regular meetings, and partnering with leadership on recruitment, onboarding, and performance management. Schedule. This position will work Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, and is eligible for a hybrid model that allows for a mix of remote and in-office work, with an expectation of being in the office two days per week and working from home three days. This schedule may be adjusted based on training, program, or client and community needs. 

 

Salary for this role. Starting wage is based on experience and company equity. Paid bi-weekly.

$21.03 - $31.56 per hour

 

Bilingual Language Differential Pay. Employees who successfully pass a language assessment are eligible to receive bilingual differential pay. This differential is provided as a fixed amount of $3,000 per calendar year, paid on a bi‑weekly basis across 26 pay periods, and prorated based on hire date and full‑time equivalency (FTE). Eligibility and payment are subject to the language requirements of the position and the employee’s demonstrated proficiency in the language. 

Essential Functions:

Supervisor Accountabilities: Lead and manage a team by providing daily direction, support, and oversight. Deliver constructive feedback and assist in the performance review process. Monitor key performance indicators and guide staff toward achieving goals. Approve timecards and time-off requests in accordance with established deadlines. Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Medical Assistants to ensure smooth and effective integration.
Provide supervision and support to the Medical Assistant team to provide the delivery of outstanding care for persons with mental illness and substance use disorders.
Foster a culture of patient-focused care, understanding that the quality of the relationship is a key factor in healing.    
Actively collaborate and communicate with staff across the agency to provide outstanding patient care. 
Accurately and completely document patient care (vitals, scheduling, assessments).
Promote, encourage, and model the practice of continuous improvement with a focus on patient experience, direct care, and safety. 
Responsible for working with the hiring manager to select new supervisees as is appropriate.
Responsible for training new medical assistant staff.
Responsible for setting 1:1 or group meetings as appropriate to build a team culture amongst supervisees. 
Advocate and document progress of supervisees to managerial and admin staff as is appropriate.
Report concerns about workforce or workflow as is appropriate to managerial and admin staff as is appropriate.
Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, goal setting, bi-monthly supervision, workflow analysis, EHR support, supply maintenance, translation support, phlebotomy, payroll, and HR support. 
Understand and comply with organizational goals around quality, compliance, standards, and policies.

QualificationsRequirements: 

HS Diploma or GED.
Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.
5 years of relevant medical assistant work experience.
Certificates upon hire or within 1 year of hire: Phlebotomy, Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP). CPR/BLS/CPI.

 

Required Vaccination and TB Test.
