Job Summary___________________________________________________________________

The Industrial Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for maintaining the Company’s equipment and facilities in good working order at an intermediate level in order to support the organization’s production requirements.  The Industrial Maintenance Technician 2 excels at all requirements of Industrial Maintenance Technician 1.

 

Responsible for participating, supporting, and maintaining compliance to the Company’s quality, environmental and occupational health & safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities as defined by the Company.

 

Position responsibilities include direct communications with employees, customers, or representatives.

 

Duties and Responsibilities_______________________________________________________

  • Possesses an understanding of basic electrical principles.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Possesses proficient troubleshooting skills.
  • Utilizes the maintenance ticket system to document work; Documents cost and part specifics information.
  • Performs regular preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Complies with the regulations governing the identification, storage and, disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Maintains housekeeping standards while moving through other departments/jobs.
  • Effectively troubleshoot problems with equipment.
  • Regularly corresponds with OEMs and parts suppliers when repairs are necessary.
  • Ensures compliance with all safety regulations related to troubleshooting, installing, or otherwise working with 3 phase AC power circuits (277-480V), 110V circuits, and low voltage systems.
  • Schedules and performs regular preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control components (e.g., photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers).
  • Performs machinery repairs normally performed by OEM service personal.
