R&D Software Engineer – Machine Learning Platform

Responsibilities

We are seeking highly qualified individuals to join our team as Software Engineer for ML Platform and infrastructure.  We are dedicated to research and development in the field of machine learning within the design and test industry. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging technical problems and develop infrastructure and platform enabling ML solutions that will influence the future of Keysight’s products and business operations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams across Keysight to ensure that the ML platform contains all components needed for model development within various business units. We're looking for someone who is self-motivated. You thrive in dynamic environments, quickly building relationships and adapting to change and ambiguity. Your strong programming skills and experience crafting, prototyping, and delivering sophisticated software solutions are essential.

 

As a software engineer working on ML platform and infrastructure, you will be focusing on:

 

• Design the data pipelines and engineering infrastructure to support our clients’ enterprise machine learning systems at scale
• Develop and deploy scalable tools and services for our clients to handle machine learning training and inference
• Identify and evaluate new technologies to improve performance, maintainability, and reliability of our clients’ machine learning systems
• Apply software engineering rigor and best practices to machine learning, including CI/CD, automation, etc.
• Support model development, with an emphasis on auditability, versioning, and data security
• Facilitate the development and deployment of proof-of-concept machine learning systems

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or a PhD degree, with a minimum of 3 years of experience
• Solid programming skills, with proficiency in Python and C++
• Strong background in computer science: algorithms and data structures
• Hands-on experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Experience with complete MLOps workflow - data platform, training infrastructure and edge deployment infrastructure.
• Experience building end-to-end systems as a Platform Engineer, ML DevOps Engineer, or Data Engineer (or equivalent)
• Comfort with Linux administration
• Experience working with cloud computing and database systems
• Experience building custom integrations between cloud-based systems using APIs
• Experience developing and maintaining ML systems built with open source tools
• Experience developing with containers and Kubernetes in cloud computing environments
• Familiarity with one or more data-oriented workflow orchestration frameworks (KubeFlow, Airflow, Argo, etc.)
• Experience with developing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
• Passionate about developing software tools/apps that are intuitive, easy to maintain, well architected and documented, and reusable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.

 

California pay range: MIN $119,610- MAX $218,000

 

Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
