About This Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Operations Specialist (SEM). In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the success of Cascade Energy’s Strategic Energy Management (SEM) Business Unit. This role offers a dynamic mix of operational, administrative, and strategic responsibilities—from coordinating program start-ups and managing scorecards, to analyzing data and streamlining internal systems. Whether creating polished presentations or troubleshooting logistics behind the scenes, this person ensures our teams have what they need to thrive.
As a close partner to the SEM leadership team, the Senior Operations Specialist acts as a key connector across teams – helping align initiatives, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement. What You Will Be Doing
• Act as a proxy for the SEM Director, leading communications, gathering feedback, and driving initiatives as needed
• Assist program managers and Specialists with high-level project support, including developing reports, analyzing large datasets, and identifying key takeaways
• Prepare internal and external reports, including data validation, reconciliation, and formatting in report templates
• Serve as program start-up deliverables coordinator and process expert
• Provide high-level administrative and strategic support through research, analysis, writing, and coordination
• Develop expertise in using the California PUC’s Cost Effectiveness Tool (CET)
• Understand and support the processing of deemed measures and Custom projects for energy efficiency claims and incentive payment
• Create and manage departmental scorecards and other tools to measure effectiveness, using program-specific software (SharePoint, Ajera, PowerBI, Gazebo, etc.) to support tracking and reporting needs
• Act as accountability manager, ensuring teams are aligned with best practices and equipped with up-to-date resources – especially during new program launches
• Coordinate and complete special assignments related to department operations
• Contribute to business development activities
• Maintain SharePoint Online team communication sites
• Plan and facilitate meetings, events, webinars, client calls, and team communication
• Mentor and train Program Specialists and other staff as needed
• Respond to frequent and varied requests for information with clarity and professionalism
• Ensure accurate data entry and file management across systems
This is a full-time, exempt position, which can be remote in PT or MTN time zone. Candidates must reside in a state where Cascade Energy is registered for employment.
Minimal travel is anticipated for this role.
Qualifications
Applicants for this role are required to have:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree (preferred), especially in business administration, project management, or a related field
• At least 4 years of experience in progressively responsible roles supporting internal and external customers
A successful candidate should also demonstrate these preferred characteristics and/or skills:
• Strong data manipulation, analysis, and translation skills
• Prior experience with continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience in the energy industry, strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

The national salary range for this position is $70,400 - $88,000/year. However, the final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences, and geographical location.
