About this Job 

As the store location and consumer behavior expert at NielsenIQ, you will be responsible for establishing NielsenIQ’s credibility, positioning, and engagement amongst CPG and retail brands that need to understand how our unique store location data assets can transform their business.  You will be responsible for delivering upon annual and quarterly financial commitments and managing the teams that support those efforts. 

Responsibilities 

Reach and exceed financial targets, manage directly and indirectly the teams that support these businesses, identify new paths for growth and partnership, and act as the external persona for these services. 

Revenue target attainment 

  • Deliver upon growth and renewal targets for Spectra 

  • Deliver upon growth and renewal targets for TD Linx 

  • Sell across DaaS, SaaS, and custom ad hoc solutions 

Forecast monthly objectives with 2% accuracy 

  • End each month within 2% of the revenue call provided at the end of the first week of the forecasted month 

  • Provide a quarterly forecast each week 

  • Coach / train team to maintain a pipeline that allows each seller to achieve quota attainment 

Upskill / coach team 

  • Coach sales team with proven techniques to improve their consultative selling skills  

  • Train team to begin the renewal process early, assess health, and take action to retain and grow those partnerships. 

  • Manage performance and team morale.  Show continuous improvement on employee engagement / health surveys\ 

Work cross functionally to ensure product enhancements meet market needs 

  • Both TD Linx and Spectra have received incremental internal funding to add capabilities and improve the client experience.  This leader will need to partner with product, technology, and operations functions to ensure that these enhancements deliver upon market needs. 

Work cross functionally with the Center of Excellence Team 

  • The COE (Center of Excellence) is responsible for training all NIQ associates on the product capabilities.  This role will work closely with that team to ensure organizational upskilling and proficiency delivers upon client needs. 

Become an integral member of the US leadership team 

  • Act as a leader within the US CPS team to grow the overall portfolio within NIQ, advocate for incremental partnerships and development, increase our share of voice externally and internally, and lead the broader team through various initiatives. 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of sales experience developing new business and revenue streams
  • 5+ years of sales experience selling market research/data within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Must have a proven track record of performance management 

  • Must have a proven track record of reaching / exceeding financial targets 

  • Preference to have sales experience with both SaaS and DaaS business models. 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher 

  • Proven leadership skills 

  • Willingness to travel, estimated 15 – 25% of time. 

  • Enjoy ambiguity and complex business challenges 

  • Positive team member through all stages of sales cycle 

  • Aggressive self-starter, able to quickly adapt to changing environments

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $126,500.00 - $185,000.00.  Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
