Hoosier Racing Tire is part of our Specialty Tires area and is the largest race tire manufacturer in the world. Hoosier has grown to produce over 1000 different types of race tires. The company has its own 300-mph test wheel; a technology center; state-of-the-art, fully integrated production facilities recently adding a high-tech mixing plant, with enough capacity to produce not only for Hoosier Racing Tire, but to have the ability to produce rubber for additional entities, as well as a model sales and distribution network. Our Hoosier location in Lakeville, IN is seeking a Warehouse Group Leader (GL) to join our team.

Job Description
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
As a Warehouse Manager at Hoosier Racing Tire, you will play a critical role in our Supply Chain organization, dedicated to optimizing our warehousing operations. You will manage and supervise the warehouse workforce, ensuring the quality, quantity, timeliness, cost-effectiveness, safety, security, and government compliance of all warehousing activities. Core Responsibilities:
- Establish, implement, and control warehouse processes according to Continental Quality Management.
- Lead optimization measures for warehousing and distribution processes.
- Plan and develop new procedures for the warehouse team and transportation companies.
- Manage inventory and create reports such as KPIs and turn rates.
- Assist in developing warehouse layout and arrange yearly inventory taking.
- Lead and manage warehouse employees, including shift planning and personnel development.
- Coordinate team activities with existing processes and warehouse strategies.
- Oversee daily operation of warehousing and delivery-related software systems.
- Guide daily operations to support inbound production needs.
- Conduct safety audits of warehouse storage racks, floors, docks, and overall warehouse safety.
- Manage capex or high-value expense projects.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, Transportation, or 10 years of experience in a related field in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management with logistics/warehouse processes.
- Experience in leading people, including specifics related to shift workers.
- Good communication skills within an international setting.
- Strong planning and organization skills.
- Ability to take initiative and have influencing skills.
- Strong computer and MS Office skills.
- Warehouse operations knowledge and warehouse management system knowledge, ideally SAP R3.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will sponsor current internal Continental employees only for this job opening.
- Continental is able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity. Candidate must be able to work onsite at designated posting location.
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, or Transportation.
- 7 years of experience in an SCM-related environment (market, plant, central) and a Master’s degree.
- Knowledge of SAP systems.
