Senior System Analyst

The Role 

The Senior System Analyst will support the business by working on highly complex internal like FW, ELPS ,ODA products in data consulting leveraging their technical and analytical strengths and skills. We are looking for someone to join our great team of experts, who enjoy a fast-paced environment, and can provide quality work and a best-in-class client/customer experience.  The Senior System Analyst leverages various service category databases, data warehouses, and other technical applications (i.e. SQL, Snap Logic, Snowflake) to identify, analyze and propose solutions to support product work consulting projects supporting our clients directly.  This a great role for someone who is looking for variety in their day-to-day activities as no two days are the same.  The ideal candidate enjoys a challenge with rewarding work having direct client impact.  The consultant helps our clients, and their employees realize their hard-earned retirement dreams.   

The Team  

The Fidelity Workplace Consulting Group is composed of over 300 professionals who advise clients on the management of their domestic benefits. We are a fast-growing business within Fidelity, providing a broad range of services that touch on every area of benefits design, strategy, funding, communication, and delivery. While we focus on working with the Fortune 1000, we also work with Fidelity clients of all sizes.  Data Consulting engages in data quality improvement efforts that span single and multiple product lines (i.e. Health and Welfare, Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, Stock Plan Services and HR/Payroll) within the implementation and ongoing servicing client lifecycle.

The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring

  • Understanding of how 401(k), 403(b), and other defined contribution plans operate, especially the role of plan sponsors in managing participant accounts.

  • Familiarity with common reasons participants become 'lost' (e.g., job changes, address updates, unclaimed benefits) and different categories of missing participants

  • Insight into Fidelity's approach using data vendors, public records, and multichannel outreach (email, phone, mail) to reconnect with lost participants.

  • Understanding of end-to-end Auto pull/Auto roll processes which identifies lost participants within active Qualified Defined Contributions Plans

  • Awareness of the importance of privacy, data accuracy, and participant identity verification in outreach processes.

  • Understands how Fidelity’s Financial Wellness tools support employees in managing budgeting, saving, debt, retirement planning, and unexpected expenses.

  • Have end to end knowledge of financial wellness multi-client platform to onboard new clients.

  • Understands different reward types which fidelity offers to their clients to motivate employees toward better financial decision-making. (Eg Max Match, Goal booster, Financial Wellness Checkup etc.)

  • Understanding of how the product aligns with employer-sponsored benefits like retirement plans, HSAs, student loan assistance, and insurance.

  • Ability to resolve/investigate production issues single handedly in financial wellness and ELPS areas.

  • Proven experience in Informatica PowerCenter 9.x/10.x, IICS, Informatica Admin Console, Oracle Exadata, Snowflake, PL/SQL, Linux, Unix scripting, CAWA/AWA Scheduling, Control M, MySQL, Microsoft SOL Server Management Studio, Cognos

  • 3+ years of domain knowledge in data consulting products FW, ELPS, ODA

  • Data Analysis Experience/Snowflake/Strong SQL skillset

  • Experience writing Data Mapping/Technical Documentation

  • Demonstratable experience with working independently in a fast-paced environment while owning the outcome for the project

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Influencing skills in proposing solutions for business problems

  • Strong communication skills
