Summary/Objective
Provide front line customer service to nature center visitors, process sales of hunting and fishing permits and nature shop items, and provide administrative support to facility staff.
Interviews will be on Aug. 13.
Essential Job Duties
- Serve as front line customer service representative for the nature center including communicating with visitors in person, via phone, and email.
- Conduct nature shop and permit sales.
- Answer departmental process questions for internal and external stakeholders, and provide training, when necessary.
- Perform administrative functions, including composing corresponence, preparing data and documents for presentations.
- Develop brochures, fliers, presentations and other creative displays, as needed.
- Verify and process expense reports and invoices for payment.
- Monitor and maintain office supply inventory, order program supplies..
- Handle meeting room and school program reservations.
- Maintain nature shop inventory in coordination with full time staff, make nature shop sales to the public.
- Take meeting minutes.
Ancillary Job Duties
- Back-up and/or assist other personnel, when needed.
- Troubleshoot office machines and AV equipment.
- Participate in special events both at the nature center and at other locations.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED/HiSET required.
- At least three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to use office equipment, such as copier, multi-line phone system, fax machine, scanner, 10 key machine and computer.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a standard office environment.
Physical Abilities
- Remain in a stationary position 70% or more of the time.
- Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Frequently communicate and exchange accurate information.
- Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
- Regularly lift up to 5 pounds, correctly lift up to 10 pounds.
- Concentrated attention is required at all times.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
