As we grow, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll processing across our dental clinics and administrative offices.
Job Summary
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing and processing bi-weekly and monthly payroll for all employees, including clinical and non-clinical staff. This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices. You will play a critical role in supporting employee satisfaction and operational efficiency across our growing network.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage payroll for multi-location dental organization.
- Calculate provider payroll and maintain adequate records.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including timesheets, deductions, bonuses, and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll and tax laws.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure proper integration of payroll data (new hires, terminations, compensation changes).
- Oversee timekeeping systems and address discrepancies or errors promptly.
- Manage employee inquiries related to payroll, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports, audits, and summaries as needed.
- Coordinate with external vendors and government agencies as required (e.g., garnishments, benefits providers).
- Lead and support payroll-related audits and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s, etc.).
- Continuously identify and implement payroll process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of payroll management experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-site environments.
- Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Gusto) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with dental or healthcare industry payroll structures is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
