The Job:  

As a Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations you’ll be part of our Industrial Global Supply Chain team working as a on-site employee.    You’ll get to:   

  • Primarily responsible for coordinating and managing production for the machining operations.
  • Responsible for production schedules to achieve operational objectives for hourly, daily, weekly and periodic KPIs.
  • Provide direct, hands-on support in shop floor requirements and activities.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, tooling, engineering and all other cross functional departments to ensure the production schedule adherence; report or escalate for prompt problem solving.
  • Responsible for daily management and leadership of all resources assigned. 
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Schedule adherence, productivity, personnel development, time and attendance, training and establishing/monitoring departmental goals.
  • Work independently and within a team while coordinating with other Departmental Leaders and/or Managers to achieve Daily/Weekly/Monthly goals and objectives.
  • Interprets company policies to workers, leads by example and enforces all Federal, State and local regulations.
  • Creates a departmental cross training plan and mentors assigned personnel.
  • Engage in cross functional problem solving to improve production efficiencies and product quality.
     

The Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a combination of appropriate related work experience and education/training.
  • Experience with machinery, e.g., CNC, Headers, Nut former, Presses, tooling, etc. More than 3 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience and responsibility.
  • Aerospace and/or Automotive experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving results in a high volume, high mix Machining environment.
  • Experience leading people and obtaining results through others, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expert ability to read and interpret blueprints, methods of manufacturing, machine code, tabular data and other related technical documentation.

The base pay range for this position in California is $74,500 - $110,000 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offer
