Senior Accountant

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the general accounting area of the company and participating in the financial reporting process. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and report issuance under IFRS. Additionally,  will be involved in the external audit process by preparing requested audit materials and responding to auditor inquiries. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform accounting functions related to commodity, derivative, shipping, storage, and finance agreement review.
• Review supporting documents of journal entries and make general ledger reconciliations.
• Participate month-end closing process and prepare periodic financial reports.
• Provide outside auditors with assistance, including gathering necessary accounting information and answering auditors’ questions.
• Prepare monthly budget preparation and execution analysis.
• Address all comments/questions raised by the Parent company Accounting and Finance
• team.
• Assist in addressing department related comments and financial questions raised.
• Identify improvements in financial reporting, accounting processes and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related studies.
• 8+ years of industry accounting or auditing experience.
• Bilingual in Mandarin and English, specifically the ability to read and write.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, CPA preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping processes.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Highly proficient with SAP or other ERP experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Be able to work extra hours during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end periods
