JOB PURPOSE:

This position assists the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with the administration and development of all aspects of all aspects of Howard’s men’s basketball program.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Assist with all aspects of the basketball program, including practice preparation, competition management, and scheduling.

• Support the development and execution of the program’s recruiting plan; identify and recruit qualified student-athletes.

• Assist with fundraising initiatives and revenue-generating activities to support the program.

• Monitor academic progress, class schedules, and grades of student-athletes to ensure academic success.

• Model and promote sportsmanship and ethical behavior among student-athletes.

• Collaborate with College administration on alumni engagement efforts.

• Uphold all rules and regulations of Howard University, the MEAC, and the NCAA with the highest integrity.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Basketball Coach

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:

Reports to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Collegiate-level playing and/or coaching experience.

$90,000 - $100,000
