Assists in the planning, directing and overall operation of business operations. Accountable for day-to-day operations of the department through implementation of strategy, policy, direction and action plans. Manages the ongoing analysis, development, and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions. Accountable for driving preeminence throughout the assigned area. Preeminence is being acknowledged as a leader in quality, clinical care, education and research by your peers. Acts as a partner of the IU Health leadership team and participates in the strategic planning and the attainment of goals for area of responsibility.

This is a fully onsite role day shift Monday-Friday supporting a 24/7/365 operations so availability for evening and weekend rounding will be required. Strong preference for someone with previous leadership experience, strong knowledge of sterile processing or strong clinical knowledge also needed.

Key Relationships

Reports to: Administrative Director- Perioperative Services and Sterile Processing

Direct Reports: Under 30

Key Relationships: OR, Infection Prevention, Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
• Bachelor's Degree is required or equivalent years of experience.
• Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Requires experience in financial or business operations.
• Requires experience managing multiple complex projects involving multiple customers, interests and goals.
• Experience in Lean Six Sigma or other performance improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Requires knowledge of state and federal laws relative to assigned area.
