What we need:
The Production Planning Coordinator is an entry-level contributor that works to help solve problems of limited complexity and scope. This role will assist with coordinating production schedules for the assigned area to maximize output and enhance customer satisfaction levels with “on time” shipments while meeting established Company goals.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate production schedules for assigned departments based on customer orders and delivery requirements through assigning production orders to available machines in a way that provides maximum output and consistency.
- May schedule rework and special orders as needed.
- Establish effective communication with various groups such as Customer Service, Sales, and Plant Production departments to ensure the on-time completion of products through monitoring order status from start to finish.
- Expedite materials for production as needed to meet deadlines.
- Assist in maintaining the amount of raw materials inventory necessary to meet planned production schedules.
- Track the flow of materials through the assigned areas.
- Adjust planned production schedules as necessary when order dates cannot be met which normally includes preparing alternate schedules.
- Review status and recommend use or disposition of aged, slow moving, or obsolete materials.
- Actively participate in group activities and collaborate with team.
- Provide basic analysis and apply knowledge from experience or standard procedure to solve problems.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 0-2 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Applies conceptual knowledge of the theories, practices, and procedures within a discipline.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

- Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with a high-traffic production floor.
