JOB PURPOSE:
The Project Director leads the Global Futures Collaborative with the collaborative support of the Co-Director (CD).
The Project Director will lead a portfolio of international engagement and global impact. The PD leads activities and functions of the GFC that ensure the goals and objectives specified for the program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications.
The expectation is that the Project Director of the GFC will be a strong leader, able to build and manage a cohort of fellows and professional teams in collaboration with the CD and work closely with the Executive Director (ED) of the Bunche Center, and related programs in building a collaborative culture of both global collaboration and teamwork.
The Project Director is designated to serve as the international lead to coordinate GFC’s high-level approaches/strategies. The Project Director will ensure a consistent and informed presence in each area, specifically in their given areas of expertise.
SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
The Project Director has responsibility or authority for the direction of the Co-Director, Global Leadership Fellows, as well as consultants, and other temporary workers for GFC.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Internal contacts include administrators, faculty, staff, fellows, and students both within the Ralph J. Bunche International Affairs Center and University-wide.
External contacts include government agencies, sponsor representatives, vendors, visitors, officials, international leaders, and the public.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Coordinate, monitor or supervise the activities of GFC team members.
Establish and/or implement new or revised program goals and objectives.
