Senior Vice President of Clinical Quality Management

 

• The Sr. Vice President of Clinical Operations is a seasoned and effective healthcare leader with high visibility and accountability across the organization. This position plays a critical leadership role in the organization, supporting and implementing all of the clinical operations and quality programs in the company. This position is responsible for defining and improving clinical initiatives, cost effective programs, processes and procedures across the organization, working collaboratively with the clinical leadership.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

 

• Collaborates with the CMO to develops and implement long-term strategies to drive clinical efficiency, quality improvement, measurable clinical outcomes that are aligned with the company’s care model and takes full ownership of expense, cost and margin control for the clinical operational area.
• Oversees UM Operations, Case Management, Virtual Care Center, Care Navigation, Credentialing and Delegation oversight and improves organizational efficiency to ensure scalability and replicability.
• Works in collaboration with the MSO and the clinical team to improve end-to-end process to increase clinical outcome, quality of care, employee productivity and financial results.
• Continuously improves the coordinated care model assuring smooth patient flow across disease management programs, internal/external referrals, optimal cost/quality outcomes, and seamless transitions from acute stays to ambulatory care settings, etc.
• Establishes an operational rhythm/cadence to ensure seamless execution, performance management and gap closures with a focus on operational excellence.
• Works with the clinical market leaders to ensure visibility and control of hospital and special nursing facilities and is in conjunction with the Medical Officers responsible for assuring that target measures and initiatives supporting the clinical strategic plan are met across the organization.
• Creates budget assumptions based on an operational plan, develops the budget, and evaluates budget performance to achieve performance expectations and improvement of the planning and budgeting process.
• Builds a high-performing team with an inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met
• Directs and coordinates promotion of clinical services in established and developing markets.
• Directs department heads in outlining clinical policy, program, or operation changes to be implemented.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees assigned staff. Responsibilities include: recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; assigning workload; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; and coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

1. Minimum Experience:
   1. A minimum of fifteen years of experience working within a large healthcare system in a program management capacity is required, primary care systems preferred.
   2. Experience related to achieving large project and initiative goals.
   3. Experience is preferred in working with Value Based Care/Risk Managed models, Medical Home models, and/or Accountable Care models.
   4. Capacity to train and mentor others with superior interpersonal skills achieving results through a collaborative effort.
   5. Experience with process improvement experience preferred.
2. Education/Licensure:
   1. Baccalaureate degree required, graduate degree preferred.
3. Other:

1. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed.
2. Intermediate to advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
3. Ability to use a variety of electronic information applications/software programs.
4. Demonstrated skill in problem solving.
5. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and oral communication.
