The Organizational Change Management Division (HRDCM) under the HR Department (HRD) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is responsible for a range of people-focused activities that support HR-related transformational initiatives; employee experience and engagement; and HR communications.
HRD is seeking a Human Resources Officer (Change Management) based at IMF headquarters in Washington, D.C. on a contractual appointment for an initial period of one year.
Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Division Chief, Organizational Change Management, the primary responsibilities of the Human Resources Officer will be to support change management and other aspects of ongoing and emerging transformation projects and to implement department-wide knowledge management expertise to support effective and innovative collaboration. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating stakeholders to promote delivery, communications, and adoption as needed in these areas.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Utilize IMF’s standardized change management framework and tools to develop change strategies and plans in support of HRD initiatives.
Support development of plans for sponsor & leadership alignment, engagement & readiness, stakeholder management, communications, and other engagement activities as needed to support HRD initiatives.
Leverage human-centered design thinking principles to develop creative and engaging change management solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders, foster innovation, and drive adoption of new platforms and processes.
Lead development and delivery of interventions to promote department-wide adoption of knowledge management in best practices.
Contribute to the Organizational Change Management Division’s overall work program as needed.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and new policy and program developments; provide change management support for the implementation of programs and policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Educational development, typically acquired by the completion of an advanced university degree, or equivalent, in Human Resources or related field, (i.e., Business and Management, Communications, Organizational Development, etc.) supplemented by a minimum of four (4) years of relevant, professional work experience is required. Alternatively, a university degree, or equivalent, and ten (10) years of relevant professional experience is required.
Change Management experience and certification preferred - Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) or Prosci Certified Change P
