Phlebotomist/Patient Care Representative
Full Time, First Shift
Job Description:
Performs venipunctures, finger sticks, IV catheter placement/removal, and collects appropriate specimen for each test. Accurately identifies outpatient using proper two patient identifiers.
Job Duties:
- Performs insertion for IV access for contrasted imaging exams.
- Performs venipunctures and capillary collections and collects appropriate specimen for each test.
- Performs point of care testing and follows all patient safety and specimen collection protocols without variance.
- Verifies patient information using 2 identifiers and verifies collection of information/imaging orders.
- Instruct patient for proper dressing/gowning dependent on type of imaging ordered.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Driver’s License
Preferred Requirements:
- Phlebotomy training program or ASCP certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology) is preferred
