We are currently seeking a Cyber Security Solutions Engineer to join our team in Herndon, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).

Position Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position requires experience in security practices on cloud platforms, security architecture across multiple environments, and cyber security experience in either Federal, State and Local, or commercial industries.

 

Job Duties:

• Providing consulting and solutions support for all client cybersecurity needs to include: consulting and solutions support for implementing core cloud security capabilities such as identity & access, data protection, security controls and compliance, vulnerability management, threat detection and response, and logging/monitoring.
• Leading cybersecurity proposal solutioning
• Engaging clients with our sales staff
• Developing new cyber capabilities and thought leadership
• Act as a SME for all technical hands-on questions.
• Written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience with security engineering, to include: 
  • Experience developing specifications, test plans, and protocols.
  • Strong technical knowledge in the following domains:
    • Data protection and security
    • Governance and risk management
    • Identity, access and permissions
    • Threat and vulnerability management
    • DevOps pipeline governance and security

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Cryptography, encryption, and key management
• SOC operations, administration, and management 
• Ability to create system and process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence and UML diagrams, inter and intra system dependencies within the functional domain and across them
• Secret or above Security Clearance
• Experience in architecting Zero Trust
• Experience writing proposals and/or marketing material.
• Experience in Cloud security.
• Must be attentive to details, organized, self-motivated, and driven.
• Defines and promotes best practices; cultivates a culture of innovation and learning.
• Demonstrated strong analytic and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience supporting clients in the either Federal, State and Local, or commercial industries.
