The Opportunity:

The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is looking for a passionate and dynamic Senior Catering & Conference Services Manager! This position coordinates all requirements for various groups booked by the Group Sales (as necessary) Department. Responsible for enforcing the terms of sales letter of agreement and guiding meeting planners through the planning process. Communicates the needs and expectations of the client with all departments in the hotel. Ensures successful execution of group and client satisfaction, as well as ensuring the Conference Service Managers are aligned in standards, communications, and execution.

What you will do:

• Lead the Conference Services Managers and Coordinators administrative staff in their day-to-day roles. Including maintaining and monitoring the accuracy and effectiveness of all written communications. These include but are not limited to: Banquet Event Orders, Resumes, Daily Events Report, and Golden S&C Standards 

• Review for accuracy and assign to the Conference Services Managers and all booking turnovers from the Sales Department. 

• Finalize the requirements of assigned events/groups bookings while maximizing revenue potential through up selling and ensuring effective communication both written (Resumes, BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event. 

• Negotiate with clients through the use of creative and attractive menu presentations and event proposals, to achieve both maximum revenue/profit potential and fulfilment and contractual responsibilities while satisfying client needs. 

• Coordinate with the Sales and Conference Services Managers to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues. 

• Intense focus on training and development of team members through weekly connections focused training sessions, and active follow up on work with detailed and actionable feedback. 

• Supervise the execution of banquet events in conjunction with Event Team. Review all function space with banquet manager. Ensure satisfaction of client at the outset of all events. 

• Plan and/or attend and/or participate in meetings with hotel staff and clients, including but not exclusive to: Morning Operations Briefing, Resume Meeting, Banquet Event Order Meeting, Forecast Meeting, Sales Pipeline Review Meeting, Strategy Meeting, Pre-Convention Meetings, Planning Visits, and Menu Tastings.
