Accounting Manager Consultant responsibilities for clients include:

Supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day financial activities for Emerging Growth (small business) clients.  Manage and oversee the daily operation of accountants on the outsourced accounting team.

Job Description

The Accounting Manager Consultant is part of the outsourced accounting team, which may also include an Accountant, Controller and CFO.   The Accounting Manager Consultant is part of the Emerging Growth Outsourced team and may be working with multiple clients and accounting teams concurrently.

Responsibilities:

•         Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce accurate and timely financial reports and statements.

•         Process or review Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable

•         Ensure all deadlines are met.

•         Process month-end close including, accruals, pre-payments, and reconciliations.

•         Supervise accountants, provide training and mentoring. 

•         Provide on-going performance feedback to team members, including periodic written feedback.

•         Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. 

•         Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles.

•         Provide recommendations to the Controller for process improvement and areas for automation including implementations.

•         Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.

•         Utilize RoseRyan best practice standard tools, templates, and methodologies in delivery of client services and interacting with RoseRyan personnel; ensure entire RoseRyan team is utilizing these tools.

•         Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

Requirements

Requirements:

Technical skills

•         BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field

•         Minimum 5 years prior supervisory experience in accounting or finance

•         Proficient in the use of MS Office, Google suite and financial management software such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com, ADP, Insperity, and Expensify. 

•         Proven knowledge of US GAAP and accounting processes

•         Knowledge and experience of accounting/finance systems Implementations.
