The Apple Services Engineering (ASE) team builds and provides systems and infrastructure that fuel Apple's services (such as iCloud, TV+ and App Store). We are the foundation on which Apple's software developers build the products that our customers love. Description
We are hiring outstanding individuals to join the ASE Infrastructure Tools Engineering team, a cross-functional group supporting a cloud engineering organization with process and tooling. We need people who can combine hard and soft skills to solve large, challenging problems. We create tooling that lessens the friction for SREs and engineers trying to do their jobs of making Apple’s services highly reliable. Responsibilities will include: Building software and systems to manage or report on infrastructure and applications Deployment, support and monitoring of existing and new services, platforms, and application stacks Explore and evaluate new technologies and solutions to push our capabilities forward and solve tomorrow’s problems, not just today’s Building a strong team by mentoring and leveling-up junior developers Designing process and crafting documentation
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building internal tools for SREs and developers working in production environments at massive scale
- Advanced experience with programming (Go, React), and building enterprise applications; strong front-end skills and a good sense of visual design a plus
- Experience with technical product management
- Experience building and deploying applications on Kubernetes; Kubernetes administration a plus.
- Strong QA/Testing skillset; experience with inside-out testing a plus
- Able to write clear and consumable documentation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams
- Proven ability to self-start, balance priorities, and work independently
- Previous Apple internship experience
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
