This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program in enhancing the US Space Force’s ICBM capabilities and ushering in a new era of Strategic Deterrence. What You’ll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will be responsible for oversight and management of operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. The Project Manager reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. They are responsible for assessing project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. The Project Manager develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Candidate will help drive execution and must be able to effectively communicate with upper-level leadership. You will interface across all elements and sub-elements within SEIT as well as coordinate with other program and SDS division leaders. A successful track record of program performance, interpersonal team building skills, and management experience is highly desired.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate with program assignment managers.
Integrate between program Segments, and supporting functional teams.
Review status of projects and budget, manage schedules, assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Monitor and report project progress and for intervention and problem solving with senior management.
Evaluate and report health metrics for the IPT.
Coordinate schedules, and provide liaison assistance between the interfacing IPTs.
Ensure IPT compliance with program processes and procedures and implement improvements.
Coordinate and prepare executive and customer presentations.
Facilitate, coordinate and track preparation and submission of contract and other data deliverables to the customer.
Coordinate and manage efforts surrounding key program events.
Collaboration and communication.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability: Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex tasks. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
Problem Solving: Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
Discretion/Latitude: Most assignments are complex and performed independently without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
Impact: Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources as well as problems with customer satisfaction.
Liaison: Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives. Acts as an advisor to senior management and customers.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday
