About the role

O2E Brands is seeking a highly skilled Principle Security Engineer to serve as a technical leader in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems across the organization. Reporting to the Director of Information Security, Compliance, & Technology Enablement, this role will focus on hands-on engineering excellence, ensuring secure configuration, monitoring, and resilience of the company’s infrastructure, applications, and IT systems. The Principle Security Engineer will provide deep technical expertise across domains such as endpoint security, identity management, cloud security, vulnerability management, and incident response, ensuring that security and compliance controls are consistently integrated into daily operations and technology solutions. This role will work closely with IT, Engineering, and Cloud teams to enable secure business operations while advancing automation, scalability, and best practices in security engineering.

 

💼 A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure configurations for cloud platforms and SaaS environments, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements such as PCI DSS and SOC.
  • Provide technical leadership in vulnerability management, including vulnerability identification, prioritization, and remediation, with automation and metrics-driven tracking.
  • Lead the development and implementation of endpoint security identity management, and access control solutions to safeguard users and systems across the organization.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for security incidents, driving investigation, containment, remediation, and lessons-learned processes.
  • Partner with IT and Engineering teams to design and review secure architectures, deployments, and integrations, embedding security-by-design principles into business solutions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor advanced security logging, monitoring, and alerting strategies to enable proactive threat detection and incident response.
  • Conduct technical risk assessments, penetration testing, and security reviews of infrastructure and applications, ensuring vulnerabilities are remediated quickly and effectively.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance, fostering a culture of continuous learning and security excellence.
  • Drive innovation by researching and implementing emerging security technologies, tools, and best practices to strengthen the company’s overall security posture.

 

🎯 WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in information security or related IT-engineering roles, with a proven track record of technical execution and problem-solving.
  • Deep hands-on experience with securing cloud environments and SaaS platforms.
  • Strong expertise in vulnerability management, endpoint protection, identity and access management, and incident response.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across infrastructure, networks, and applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform technical risk assessments, security architecture reviews, and remediation planning.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate complex technical risks and mitigations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding other engineers and collaborating in cross-functional environments.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • CISSP or similar security certification (e.g., CISM, CISA).
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to improve security operations.
  • Background in large-scale or complex enterprise environments.
