Department of Revenue is recruiting for a Registration Compliance Administrative Support (Office Specialist 1) position. We are looking for talented, detail-oriented individuals to join our Business Division in the Withholding, Other Taxes & Fees Unit. This position is headquartered in our Salem office; however, the successful candidate may be eligible for in state hybrid work. Hybrid work consists of performing duties onsite in a standard office environment and working remotely.
In order to be considered for Department of Revenue recruitments, you must reside within the state of Oregon.
What You Will Be Doing
Below is a sampling of job duties. It is not meant to encompass all duties.
Retrieves incoming mail/faxes/emails from central mail pick up.
Review incoming mail, scan, and attach to the correct account.
Create work items for section personnel.
Follow mail routing procedure.
Scan Tax Information Authorization and Power of Attorney forms on to the appropriate account.
Enter or remove payroll services on accounts per the add/delete lists from payroll services.
Perform printer and copy machine troubleshooting. Investigates problem to determine appropriate action needed to have repair work done.
Provides backup to team members per assigned task list.

This Is What You Need To Qualify
One year of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An equivalent combination of experience and college coursework or training in a general office occupation.
The ideal candidate will possess the following desired skills and attributes:
Organization skills and attention to detail in an office environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to apply laws, rules, policies, and procedures closely.
Decision-making skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of records.
Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
