Food Prep - Nutrition Services Associate

Find your purpose in Food Preparation, providing nourishment to patients, and fuel to those who care for them.  We are seeking to add one Full Time Food Prep Associate to our Nutrition Services team.  This person will be responsible for assisting the Chef in food preparation and service of items on the menu and perform various kitchen duties throughout the Kitchen. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.

Our nutrition services team cooks, serves, and delivers delicious meals and snacks to our patients and staff. They also clean dishes, food prep surfaces and the rest of the kitchen to ensure food safety guidelines are met.

Education Requirement:

• High School Diploma or GED Upon Hire

Schedule

• Full Time | 72 hours every two weeks

• Day Shift | 8-Hour Shift | Shifts will be 5a-1:30p and/or 9:30a-6p

• Every THIRD weekend and rotating holidays 

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay begins at $16.98 per hour and increases with experience

  • Pay range: $13.99 - $20.99 per hour

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED High School diploma or equivalent required

• ServSafe food safety certification (required within 6 months of hire)

• No experience required, 1-year Institutional food service experience preferred.

• A valid Minnesota driver’s license and good driving record may be required 

• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
