The RoleMedici Onsite is actively seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, NM. This individual will primarily provide patient care from our new mobile health unit which travels to various City of Albuquerque facilities/departments. Will care for a pediatric and adult patient population (city employees and dependents). Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. No late clinics, no weekends, no after-hours charting and NO CALL. This individual will be required to drive the mobile unit which is fully supported with RN staff. There may also be occasional days that the FNP will work in the clinic (as needed). What You’ll DoFunction independently to perform age-appropriate history and physicals for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients. Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs. Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities Implement interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role.Assist with the provision of surgical care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations. Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.Facilitate the patient’s transition within and between health care settingsCollaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals. Facilitate staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools What You’ll BringMasters degree from an accredited nurse practitioner programCurrent unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New MexicoCurrent Nurse Practitioner Certification in specialty area of focusCurrent provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); PALS provider card as required by department and facilityTwo to four years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a Primary Care settingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTeaching skillsWritten and verbal communication skillsListening skillsOrganization skillsTime management skillsTeamwork skillsEmpathy and compassionThe ability to work under pressureThe ability to provide accurate, effectice care in stressful situations
