Job Description

We are seeking dynamic and innovative Structural Engineering Interns for our San Diego office for part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer months of 2023. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your chosen field! The ideal candidate will be a student who wishes to increase their knowledge of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures, learn about computer analysis software systems, and work in a professional fast-paced environment. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work semi-independently.
• Possess basic level computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and a working knowledge of computer-aided drafting.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.
Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• 3 years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate structural engineering degree.
• EIT preferred.

Expected hourly rate: $20.00 - $25.00.
