GENERAL PURPOSE

The senior manager in this hybrid role will bring experience in leading, advising, developing, and supporting tailored strategies which through their design, leverage MillerKnoll's DEI priorities. The leader will focus on connecting with and engaging individual associate and networked associate groups in innovative ways, with a stated objective of inspiring, igniting, informing, and elevating the impact of key initiatives and programs. The Senior Manager will drive overarching MillerKnoll enterprise and DEI strategies, in support of strengthening inclusion, deepening a sense of belonging, and driving retention and organizational commitment, all with an expectation of enhancing our associate's experiences and maximizing their contributions, which elevate MillerKnoll's employer of choice status. Bottom line, the leader selected for this role will create pathways for MillerKnoll's associates to fulfill personally meaningful choices, and prompt actions through their discretionary efforts, which when activated, will advance our DEI progress. The leader will design innovative offerings that expand our global impact by connecting in a tailored way to local, regional, and global needs, across all business and functional areas. The Senior Manager will develop a progressive ROI-based metrics and measurements process that reflect our commitments and aspirations and regularly engage with and present progress reports to the most senior leadership, HR and business levels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Cultivates collaborative working relationships with all HR Business Partners globally on targeted efforts that are mutually beneficial.

Engages with all levels of the organization.

Leads a team that advises key stakeholders and adds value to their areas and roles, with a prioritized focus on tapping into talent sources which currently be untapped, including in Ops, Stores and DC’s and across emerging associate groups.

Leads across the enterprise and builds enterprise solutions as well as develops tailored solutions aligned to opportunities and the needs of functional areas.

Leverages business, HR and DEI interdependencies which move plans from disparate tactics, into a cohesive set of solutions.

Manages the design and execution of diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies, for primary areas of responsibility and defines objectives, goals, and accountabilities linked to targeted strategies.

Proactively partners with Legal, and Compliance to inform policy and leading practice recommendations which serves as a catalyst for this work.

Responsible for managing fiscal and budgetary matters, forecasting future financial needs, and partnering with Finance and Global Supply Management on vendor and contract management.

Serves as the key liaison and provides governance and direction for MillerKnoll’s global Business Resource Groups (BRGs) to evolve DEI across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree

5-7 years of professional experience in a DEI function with global experience.

4+years of leading DEI in a major organization.

Proven leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy development

Demonstrated leadership in designing and implementing DEI strategies and initiatives.

Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate cultural diversity into the ecosystem of primary areas.

Demonstrated ability to navigate change management principles and in implementing key aspects of change.

Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and work in a matrixed environment, across all levels in the organization with strong relationship skills.
