Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Senior Label & Content Services Specialist to join our Distribution Department. In this elevated role, you will serve as a key partner and subject matter expert for our priority Label and Joint Venture clients. You’ll play a lead role in quality assurance, metadata accuracy, and client success while supporting internal teams and DSP relationships. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with deep knowledge of digital distribution workflows and the independent label ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison for a roster of high-priority clients, offering elevated client support and strategic release planning guidance where duties include the following:
- Lead monthly check-ins with clients to align on upcoming priorities, pitching opportunities, and release strategies.
- Oversee and manage complex release schedules, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of assets and metadata.
- Collect and organize marketing and pitching assets from clients, ensuring all information is submitted by platform deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal commercial and marketing teams to help execute label-specific campaigns and initiatives.
- Perform advanced metadata review on client submissions, ensuring quality control and compliance with platform-specific standards.
- Liaise with DSPs and internal delivery teams to resolve ingestion, delivery, and metadata-related issues.
- Conduct daily reviews of submitted releases, flagging issues and making corrections as needed.
- Manage and perform catalog ingestions, including legacy content optimization and metadata updates.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal tools, workflows, and documentation to support team efficiency.
- Serve as an internal resource and go-to expert on metadata guidelines, DSP standards, and label best practices.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Music Business, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role within music distribution, label services, or DSP operations.
- Strong understanding of the digital music ecosystem and metadata standards across platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, SoundCloud, TikTok, etc.).
- Experience working with or supporting dance/electronic music labels and artists.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience troubleshooting content ingestion and delivery issues with DSPs or distributors.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Previous experience with metadata editing tools and distribution systems preferred
- Bilingual or Multilingual proficiency is highly valued but not required.
Pay Scale
$22.00 - $25.00 /hr
